Homeless Network Inc.
  Welcome to Homeless Network Inc.

The Homeless Network, Inc.’s mission is to take a stand against homelessness. To achieve our mission, we aspire to become an advocacy organization, educating the public and policy makers on the need to direct funding to support the homeless population within our communities.

Planned activities include the provision of information to the public regarding the state of homelessness within our nation, while encouraging all to take a stand and press for change in the addressing of this epidemic. We will also provide direct social assistance to these disadvantaged individuals and families. All programs are planned to initially be offered in donated space.

Social Assistance Programs

Our social assistance programs will offer the basic necessities to help the homeless transition back into society. We hope to assist in ensuring ongoing productivity. It is our goal to assist those in homeless shelters to rapidly move out of shelters and back into permanent housing, while offering the supportive services they need to stabilize.

Housing- The Homeless Network, Inc. will collaborate with other community-based organizations in an effort to develop a functional referral program. Through this program we will identify those facing homelessness and refer them to group homes and shelters in the area that have the capacity to provide them with needed assistance.

Food- The Homeless Network, Inc. plans to provide boxes of food to families facing housing insecurity. These boxes will include non-perishable items, such as rice, beans, pasta, spaghetti sauce, canned goods, vegetables, cereal, and powdered milk. Food will be disbursed weekly, and each family can receive food every other week.

Clothing- The Homeless Network, Inc. will make ongoing distribution of new and used clothing items to members of the area’s homeless population. We will accept clothing donations at a variety of locations, and make disbursements at locations easily accessible to members of the homeless community.

Transportation- For those homeless individuals attempting to reintegrate into society, we will offer assistance with transportation. Volunteers will take those in need to job interviews, stores, pharmacies, banks, and/or doctor appointments.

Life Skills Training- The Homeless Network, Inc. will help group home individuals to find meaningful employment. We will identify partner businesses in the community who are willing to offer work to those trying to get back on their feet. We will compile information on jobs available within our community and make that information available to the homeless population.
